Position Summary:

The Medical Device Driver/Courier is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate delivery of surgical instruments, implants, biologics, and other medical equipment to healthcare facilities. This role plays a critical part in supporting patient care by ensuring that products are delivered and picked up according to established schedules and company standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate a company vehicle to deliver and pick up medical equipment and supplies.
  • Follow established instructions, routes, and guidelines to ensure safe and timely deliveries.
  • Provide service to all customer accounts, ensuring professionalism and excellent customer service at all times.
  • Deliver, unload, and stock products at assigned facilities (hospitals, surgery centers, physician offices).
  • Obtain, complete, and return all necessary documentation to ensure accurate tracking of deliveries and pickups.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of pick-ups, loading, and returning equipment for servicing.
  • Collaborate with supervisor to resolve delivery-related issues and field challenges.
  • Adhere to company practices, policies, and compliance requirements in all aspects of the role.
  • Support the sales team by ensuring timely deliveries for surgical cases and customer needs.
  • Perform a variety of operational tasks as directed by the immediate supervisor.
  • Report directly to the Operations Supervisor and/or Operations Manager.
  • Work effectively under pressure, meeting multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Maintain cooperative, professional behavior with colleagues, supervisors, and customers

Schedule:

  • Training Period: Monday through Friday for the first 6 months.
  • Post-Training Schedule: Thursday through Monday (weekend coverage required).

Qualifications

Required:

  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and proof of current insurance.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug test, and vendor credentialing requirements (including vaccinations to enter medical facilities).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed to support urgent surgical schedules.
  • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2–3 years of related driving, courier, or logistics experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in medical device, healthcare, or related field strongly desired.
